THE REAL McCOY’S LOT. 001XX
・マテリアル: 14.25 oz. デニム

A recreation of 1950s five-pocket jeans, this design reflects a key moment in denim history when jeans shifted from workwear to everyday clothing, especially among young people after the war. This period marked the golden age of denim, with the classic straight silhouette—featuring a subtle taper from waist to hem—becoming a defining feature. The denim used has been carefully re-engineered to match vintage specifications, with attention to yarn quality, thread count, and indigo dye applications.
The denim fabric is woven with yarn produced on Japan’s oldest spinning machines and is shared with the 001 and 004 series. The indigo dye is applied seven times, faithfully reproducing the dyeing quality of the period.
These jeans are modelled after a 1955 denim silhouette, which is often compared to 1947 models introduced after wartime material restrictions were lifted. During this time, denim manufacturing rapidly expanded, with factories opening in Tennessee in 1953 and Virginia in 1954, solidifying jeans as a mass-produced product. This reproduction captures the evolving role of jeans in post-war society, reflecting both the cultural shifts and industrial advancements of the era.
