The HEAVY COTTON FOOTBALL TEE / 32ND SIG draws inspiration from 1960s American football jerseys. Made from jersey knit fabric using 8-count yarn, it achieves maximum density for a sturdy, durable feel. The tee features a yoke cut true to its era and includes reinforced binding at the sleeve openings for added strength and longevity. The HEAVY COTTON FOOTBALL TEE / 32ND SIG features a 32ND REG rubber-print detailing which has been applied by hand in our Kobe-based factory.
The 32nd Signal Battalion, established in 1943 during World War II, has a distinguished history within the U.S. Army’s communications branch. It is one of the few units to serve in both the European and Pacific theaters during the war. Reactivated in 1955, it was stationed in Darmstadt, Germany, under V Corps, USAREUR, and later transitioned to Mobile Subscriber Equipment (MSE) in the 1980s to provide advanced communication support. The battalion consists of one Headquarters Company, three MSE companies, and one MSE signal support company. Its insignia, featuring a bugle horn and the motto “Sound the Warhorns!” displays its communication mission and readiness.
The rivalry between Army and Navy Academy football teams is one of the most storied and intense rivalries in U.S. college sports. The rivalry dates back to 1890 when the two teams first met on the football field. Known as the Army-Navy Game, it has since become an annual tradition and a highly revered event.
