The BUCO ACRYLIC LINED COACH JACKET / ENGINEER uses a custom made, quality nylon, reminiscent of hard-wearing nylon from the 1970s and is an authentic reproduction of an iconic Coach Jacket, a relaxed fit named for its presence on American Sports touchlines in the mid-century, popular for its versatility and appeal across seasons and climates.
In the year 1966, the BUCO company was acquired from founder Joseph Buegeleisen by the American Safety Equipment Corporation of New York and by 1970s they had produced a number of promotional and novelty items adorned with the ‘BUCO AMERICAN SAFETY’ branding. Among them was the extremely versatile Coach Jacket, used by riders and engineers alike.
The Buco Coach Jacket is lined with acrylic pile lining. The Buco Engineers graphics to the back are produced in rubber print. The jacket benefits from elasticated cuffs and a drawstring adjustable hem.
